the street stops here is a documentary about bob hurley and saint anthony high school in jersey city. the documentary premieres tonight march 31st at 10:00 pm on pbs. watch this tonight or when pbs shows the replays this weekend or just get the dvd which will be in stores on april 6th.
fette sau
yesterday I went to one of my favorite places to eat, fette sau (which means fat pig in german). last night they had the saint louis style pork ribs, which I ordered as quick as I could before they ran out. once a choice of meat runs out for the day they go with another selection. those ribs were so tender and just came right off the bone. we had a pound of pulled pork, and made some mini sandwiches with the potato rolls. and of course the beef brisket and boneless beef ribs were banging. fette sau is one of the top five bbq spots in the city.

so this album finally drops. wu and its affiliates have been dropping really solid albums the past few years. I just happened to get the raekwon special edition cover. lots of crazy stories are being told on this album, listen to pimpin chipp. this album has lots ill tracks from gunshowers to its that wu shit but with 10 tracks and two skits this thirty minute album is too short to get four fishes. top ten album of the year so far, off the strength some great short songs. this albums drops tomorrow march 30th.

army of the pharaohs - the unholy terror review
this aotps third album and they are back with the same formula. banging underground beats and grimey lyrics straight out of killadelphia, pistolvania. from agony fires in the beginning of the album to the ultamatum at the end they attack the speakers. this kind of music is not for everybody. the are very agressive rappers. so casual fans or radio listeners might get scared off. reef came off on the few tracks he appears on. outside of jedi mind tricks most of these rappers are very slept on especially reef. this album drops tomorrow the march 30th.

this is selektahs third album. and beat wise its his best work yet. rapping wise he sticks to what he and we like featuring lil fame, sean price, tek, steele, havoc, kool g rap, termanology, royce, styles, skyzoo, evidence, fashawn, torae and many more. plenty of good tracks to listen too. this album dropped earlier this year.

freeway and jake one - the stimulus package review
free and jake have one of the best albums of the year so far. beans starts it off ruggedly and it just keeps going. the track one thing featuring raekwon is crazy. another song Im feeling is sho'nuff featuring the port arthur legend bun b. freeway did his thing on the best beats he has ever had on an album. the beats on this albums are banging. jake and the people at rhymesayers have to put out and instrumental version. this album dropped earlier this year, go out and support real good hip hop.

march madness 2010
so at one point tonight northern iowa was leading but couldnt keep it up against the spartans. saints marys couldnt do much against baylor. duke did what they should do to a hummeless purdue team. for two teams I dont care for the tennessee versus ohio state game was the best game of the night. so far this year the thursday/saturday games have been way better than the friday/sunday games.

eazy-e feat b.g. knocc out and dresta - real muthaphuckkin gsmarch madness 2010
what a game last night. sure I was disappointed at syracuse losing but west virginia won so the mighty big east still has a chance. but back to this game, terrell hollaway (from new york) and jordan crawford (joes brother, who left the state of michigan for indiana and transfered to xavier) had great games against jacob pullen and denis clemente (transfered from miami) who also had great games. what a battle of the backcourts. who knew curtis kelly was that tough. a few years ago he ran out of uconn for an easier time down in the big twelve. late in the game clemente wasnt hitting that many shots but pullen was matching every shot hollaway and crawford hit. with 40 minutes minutes of regulation and the two overtimes this game a classic. click pic for stats.

yesterday before going to this show I stopped by cabo rojo. usually by the time I get to cabo after work they run out of most of the food they have. so I asked the lady what they have left and she said fried porkchops and fish, so this time is no different except last time they only had pernil and fish left. so I went with the fried porkchops with white rice and red beans. after that it took a while to get my order taken but the lady had several tables to take care of, so everybody had to wait their turn. in a few minutes the porkchops came and it was time to get down. they put some mojo de ajo (garlic sauce) over the chops, which made the meal. so remember when going to cabo that they close at seven and run out of most of their food by five so get there early and get that mojo de ajo with you meal. and I had a piece of flan which was average.
el castillo de jagua
on wednesday before this show, I went to el castillo de jagua. I went there already knowing what I wanted to eat. so as soon as I sat down I order me some pernil with white rice and red beans. I personally like the dark meat, especially the part of the pernil that is down below the bone that had direct contact with the heat while it cooked. but they gave me the white meat which I didnt mind because it wasnt dry and it came with a huge piece of crunchy pork rind. I havent eaten pernil in a few weeks, so while I was eating the dominican kicked in and I asked the lady for a malta. I ended up ordering another malta after I finished eating. the food here is average and can be found in plenty of other dominican, cuban, puerto rican restaurants throughout new york city.
