big apple bbq block party

this afternoon we went to the big apple bbq block party. we had the western tennessee whole hog at martins bbq joints booth and then we ate the saint louis ribs at checkered pigs booth. the whole hog was good and was topped with some coleslaw and came with a couple of sweet pickles, which tasted weird but were very good. the ribs were great. they were topped with a sugary sort of spicy (not hot) bbq sauce and some coleslaw on the side. I always eat from the booths of out of town restaurants cause Im always in the new york bbq restaurants. I will defenitely be there early tomorrow to try ed mitchells booth and pappys smokehouse booth.
